Mike Vick... on the job site?

Vick to "humble" himself as a construction worker

It has been said that Mike Vick needs to "re-construct" his career, but this might be a little bit of a stretch. With a return to the NFL still at the discretion of Commissioner Roger Goodell, Vick has reportedly lined-up a job as a construction worker, which he'll start upon his release from prison.

Wow. Now I am going to take the high-road and avoid all the puns that could take place here, but seriously Mike? A construction job? Do you really think that anyone is going to buy the fact that your "multimillion dollar body" is going to risk potential damage by being a construction worker, when your ultimate goal is to get back to the NFL? Hmm, something is rotten in Newport today. That's like saying, Grizzly Adams had a beard. Come on.

Vick, who has agreed to pay back the rest of his signing bonus -- totaling $6.5-7.5 -- million is now eligible to be released by the Falcons. Trust me, if the Falcons don't release Vick, I will sell you all of King Midas' sliver! But let's step back for a second and look at what the odds of Vick's return look like.

He is out in the ATL, and I doubt that anyone in the NFC south will take a chance on him because of all the baggage he would bring. Using that criteria alone there are only three teams that Vick would have a legitimate shot at joining.

• The Cowboys -- See T.O.
• The Raiders -- See anyone ever associated with the Raiders in the last 20 years, and finally...
• The Patriots -- Huh? How would that work? Lets face it, if there is one fan base that would sell their souls to win some championships, it's "The Nation." Look at what they did with Randy Moss. Did anyone see that coming?

So to recap, Mike Vick is planning on returning to the NFL in the future. This is based on a statement made at his bankruptcy trial. But before that is going to happen, he has lined up a construction job so he can get to the blue collar, hard-working, and apparently dog-loving members of society and show them what kind of worker he really is.

So, Judge Frank Santoro, if you honestly think that Mike Vick is going to rehabilitate himself by slaving away at a construction job, then by all means allow his bankruptcy to become final. Heck, you're a judge, I'm not stopping you. But I do have a potentially great investment plan on some bridge in San Francisco that I would love to have you take a look at.

What type of impact will Mike Vick's return have on the NFL? Do you even think Vick will or should rejoin a NFL team? Do you believe that he will actually work as a construction worker? The Guru has spoken, lets go to the Postgame!
